If every one of the 126,686,145 people who voted in the presidential election, regardless of party affiliation, devoted just one day of service to their community, it would equal over a billion man hours in a highly concentrated timeframe. The scope of this kind of participation is unprecedented and could bring solutions to thousands of communities in need. January 20 - April 30, 2009 The US would benefit from 126,686,145 days of giving or, divided by 365, 347,000 calendar years of service! Do anything with your day to make a difference! 1. Pick a project - Volunteer at a the local food bank - Work for a day at the animal shelter - Visit a hospice facility - Paint an elderly person's home - Come up with your own idea 2. Give just 1 day 3. Share your experience, share your idea!
